We're really excited to add Tignes Val Claret to our list of Breakout Ski destinations this year. There's no better way to celebrate the start of the new year with your friends from uni or from home than by joining us in Tignes for an incredible week of skiing, boarding and partying in one of the world's best ski resorts. As happy as we are to add Tignes to our list of premier destinations, we're just as excited to reveal our incredible price of £337 per person for advance bookings including return travel, slope-side accommodation, lift pass, 40% drink discounts in resort and dedicated Breakout Ski reps every step of the way! Breakout Ski is for everyone from any university or college, and non-students too. There's no need to be a member of your university club and you don't need to have any experience skiing.

			Why are we so excited about this trip? Tignes Val Claret is a world renowned resort, famous for fantastic skiing and an eclectic nightlife. In fact, J2Ski.com proclaims Tignes to be one of the top ten ski resorts in France (out of 228)! Breakout Ski in Tignes is perfect for everyone, whether you're an expert shredder looking for world class skiing or simply someone looking for a great week of partying with your mates. Lessons are available for beginners who will find that the lower slopes around the resort will provide a great introduction to the world of skiing and boarding. Tignes is served by the large well linked ski area called L'Espace Killy. Tignes shares the L'Espace Killy with Val d'Isere and with over 300km (190 miles) of pistes 150 shops, 115 bars, numerous ski schools, 1500+ staff & extensive off-piste it has become one of Europe's premier resorts.

Due to its altitude Tignes has a very reliable snow record which, after recent seasons of reduced snowfall, has encouraged people to choose higher mountain resorts. According to 'The good Ski & Snowboarding Guide' Tignes/Val d'Isere is one of only two ski areas in France listed as 'Snow-sure resorts'.

Tignes boasts a fast & efficient lift system 97 lifts including 2 high speed underground trains (funicular railways) one of which transports you from Tignes Val Claret to the 'Panoramic Restaurant' on the Grand Motte Glacier.

L'Espace Killy is known for its incredible off-piste with good lift access. Also there is a half pipe, boardercross course, some great freeriding & the 1992 Olympics downhill course should you be feeling up for it.

			We know that the Apres Ski is a crucial part of your Breakout Ski experience. Luckily, the vibe in Tignes doesn't die down after the sun sets. You'll be spoilt to some of the best apres ski entertainment in the Alps! Val Claret has bars with great live music, bars with eurotechno trash and tabletop dancing, champagne cocktail bars, sports bars, saloon bars, traditional pubs and even a bar with 60 different flavour vodka shots. In short, there are bars to suit every taste! But the fun doesn't stop there, as Val Claret's nightclubs will have you dancing until 4am. We'll make sure to set up a package of juicy deals with the local bars to make sure that you're getting great value for your buck on your nights out in Tignes.

Standard Package Price per person: ~~£367~~ £337. This great value price includes all of the following as standard: Return travel from London in executive coaches. Return ferry crossings (Dover-Calais). Accommodation in slope-side apartments in the resort centre Super Tignes lift pass valid for the entire week. Drink discounts in local bars. Support and advice of dedicated Breakout Ski reps. All that is required at the time of booking is a £50 deposit. The remainder of the balance is payable at least 6 weeks prior to departure. 			You'll be staying in well equipped 4,6 or 8 man apartments with the friends you choose, in an accommodation block overlooking the pistes in the centre of the resort. The apartments include a kitchen complete with a fridge, freezer, microwave and hobs. Each apartment has dining and social areas, one or two bathrooms and a balcony. There is also a ski locker room and wifi facilities are available. You will be housed in an apartment with your friends. If there are not enough of you to make up a whole apartment then you may be asked to share with others from the trip. Your Breakout Ski trip includes return travel from London. Coaches will leave London Victoria on the evening of Friday 6th January and will travel overnight via the Dover-Calais ferry crossing. The coaches are all modern, luxury coaches with toilets, reclining seats and DVD players. You can be sure that you'll have a comfortable and relaxing night's sleep, and wake up in the morning in the Alps! The coach will travel back through the night on the 13th January to arrive back at London Victoria Coach Station in the morning on the 14th. The exact coach departure times will be finalised 4 weeks prior to departure. You may opt out of the travel option and arrange your own transport to and from the resort, arriving at any point during the week (£30 discount on the package price; earliest arrival: 5pm 7th January). For flights to the Alps check Geneva Lyon, Chambery, Grenoble, Marseille and Nice. Bear in mind that onward train travel/transfers can be expensive. The nearest train station is Bourg St Maurice and train schedules can be checked on www.voyages-sncf.com.

The coach will carry your own skis/snowboard for a fee or £10, but you must book this service at the point of booking your trip as luggage space is limited.

Lessons are optional but are available for all levels of ability. Lessons typically last for 2 hours per day in the morning or the afternoon and continue for 3 or 5 days. You can book lessons through our booking page at these preferential rates:
